CJ20 Contactor
Description
Technical Parameters
Product Introduction
A. The contact system of the CJ20 contactor utilizes a high-purity silver-based alloy material with excellent electrical conductivity, welding resistance, and wear resistance. This ensures excellent electrical contact performance during frequent switching operations, reduces contact wear, and extends service life.
B. The core of the electromagnetic system is constructed from laminated high-quality silicon steel sheets. Silicon steel sheets have low hysteresis losses and high magnetic permeability, effectively reducing core heating and improving the efficiency and reliability of the electromagnetic system.
The coil inside the CJ20 contactor is wound with high-strength enameled copper wire and undergoes a special insulation treatment, ensuring stable operation under long-term power-on conditions and preventing short-circuit failures.
Conditions of Use
- Electrical rating: AC50/60Hz, 1140V
- Application category: AC-3, AC-4
- Altitude: Installation site ≤ 2500m above sea level
- Ambient temperature: -5°C to +40°C
- Atmospheric conditions: Relative humidity: not exceeding 50% at a maximum temperature of +40°C. Higher relative humidity is permitted at lower temperatures, with a maximum monthly average relative humidity of 90% when the average minimum temperature in the wettest month is +25°C. This takes into account condensation on the product surface caused by temperature fluctuations.
- Installation conditions: The inclination between the mounting surface and the vertical should not exceed ±5°. Products used in underground coal mines should be tested at ±15°.

Storage and Maintenance
1. Regularly inspect the contactor.
a. Remove dust and dirt, especially on the incoming and outgoing wires to prevent phase-to-phase short circuits. Also, clean the core pole surfaces and guide rails.
b. Remove carbides and metal particles from the arc extinguisher.
c. Clean the contact surfaces. If there is even a slight burn (generally, when the contact tip is reduced to 1/4 of its original thickness, the contact should be replaced).
d. Tighten all fasteners.
2. Coil Replacement
To replace the coil, simply loosen the four screws securing the base plate, remove the base plate, and replace the coil.
FAQ
Q: How can I get a quote for a CJ20 contactor? What do I need to provide?
A: If you require a quote for a contactor, please provide the required quantity, rated voltage and current, number of poles, contact material, etc. We will provide a quote based on your requirements.
Q: What is the rated current and voltage range of the CJ20 contactor?
A: Rated current: The CJ20 series covers 10A to 630A (specific models such as the CJ20-10 are 10A, and the CJ20-160 are 160A).
Voltage range: Main contact rated voltage: 36V, 220V, 380V, and 660V (AC-3 load);
Coil control voltage: Commonly 220V and 380V (customizable from 24V to 660V).
Q: How do I choose the appropriate CJ20 contactor model?
A: You can choose based on the load type:
1. Select by motor power (e.g., for a 7.5kW motor with a current of 15A, choose the CJ20-25, corresponding to 25A).
2. Select by actual current, leaving a margin. The recommended rated current is 1.2 to 1.5 times the load current to avoid overheating caused by frequent starting and stopping.
Q: What should I do if the contactor fails to close after the coil is energized?
A: We recommend troubleshooting the issue by following these steps:
Measure the coil voltage to see if it's normal;
Check if the control circuit fuse is blown;
Manually press the contacts to confirm mechanical resistance (if any, lubricate or replace).
