Common faults and maintenance methods of inverters:

1. Fault code Err01
Description: Overcurrent in constant speed
Details: When the inverter is running at a constant speed, the output current exceeds the overcurrent value
Solution: reduce the output current during constant speed operation
l Check whether the inverter output circuit is short-circuited
l Check whether the input voltage is low;
l Check whether there is a sudden change in the load;
l Perform parameter identification or improve low frequency torque compensation
l Check whether the rated power of the motor or frequency converter is large enough;
2. Fault code Err02
Description: Overcurrent during acceleration
Details: When the inverter is accelerating, the output current exceeds the overcurrent value (2.2 times the rated current of the inverter)
Solution: reduce the output current during acceleration
l Check whether the motor and the line are short-circuited, grounded or too long;
l Check whether the input voltage is low
l Extend the acceleration time;
l Carry out parameter identification or improve low frequency torque compensation or adjust V/F curve;
l Check whether there is a sudden change in the load;
l Check whether to select speed tracking or wait for the motor to stop before starting;
l Check whether the rated power of the motor or frequency converter is large enough;
3. Fault code Err03
Description: Overcurrent during deceleration
Details: When the inverter decelerates, the output current exceeds the overcurrent value (2.2 times the rated current of the inverter)
Solution: reduce the output current during deceleration
l Check whether the motor and the line are short-circuited, grounded or too long;
l Carry out parameter identification;
l Extend the deceleration time;
l Check whether the input voltage is low;
l Check whether there is a sudden change in the load;
l Install braking unit and braking resistor;
4. Fault code Err04
Description: Overvoltage in constant speed
Details: When the inverter is running at a constant speed, the DC voltage of the main circuit exceeds the given value.
Solution: reduce the DC voltage of the main circuit during constant speed operation
l Check whether the input voltage is too high;
l Check whether the bus voltage display is normal;
l Check whether there is an external force to drive the motor during operation;
5. Fault code Err05
Description: Overvoltage during acceleration
Details: When the frequency converter accelerates, the DC voltage of the main circuit exceeds the given value. The detection overvoltage value is the same as above
Solution: reduce the DC voltage of the main circuit during acceleration
l Check whether the input voltage is too high;
l Check whether the bus voltage display is normal;
l Extend the acceleration time;
l Check whether there is an external force to drive the motor to run during the acceleration process;
l Install braking unit and braking resistor;
6. Fault code Err06
Description: Overvoltage during deceleration
Details: When the inverter decelerates, the DC voltage of the main circuit exceeds the given value. The detected overvoltage value is the same as above.
Solution:
l Check whether the input voltage is too high;
l Check whether the bus voltage display is normal;
l Extend the deceleration time;
l Check whether there is an external force to drive the motor to run during the acceleration process;
l Install braking unit and braking resistor;
7. Fault code Err07
Description: Module failure
Details: The module is automatically protected due to external faults of the inverter
Solution:
l Check motor coil resistance
l Check the motor insulation
l The inverter module is damaged by breakdown
8. Fault code Err08
Description: Undervoltage
Details: Insufficient DC main circuit voltage during operation
Solution:
l Check whether the power wiring is in good contact;
l Check whether the incoming line voltage is within the specified range;
l Check whether there is an instantaneous power failure;
l Whether the bus voltage display is correct;
l Check whether the rectifier bridge and charging resistor are normal;
9. Fault code Err09
Description: Inverter overload
Details: Inverter current exceeds allowable overload current
Solution:
l Check if the motor is blocked or reduce the motor load
l Replace with a higher power inverter;
10. Fault code Err10
Description: Motor overload
Details: Motor current exceeds allowable overload current
Solution:
l Whether the setting of motor protection parameter P1.025 is appropriate;
l Check whether the motor is blocked or reduce the motor load;
l Correctly specify the rated current of the motor;
l Replace the inverter with a higher power
