The high temperature inside the distribution box is basically caused by the increase in environmental temperature and the heating of electrical equipment inside the box. If the two overlap, the temperature will increase, causing electrical equipment to malfunction. So, what is the degree of overheating in the distribution box? Next, let's take a look together.

When the ambient temperature rises, please strengthen ventilation and heat dissipation. Our 1000 kV transformer operates at almost full load and emits severe heat during summer. Even if the doors and windows are opened for ventilation, the radiator will still be very hot. Using large electric fans to improve heat dissipation and operate without danger. Ventilation and heat dissipation are important means.

If the electrical appliances in the distribution box generate a large amount of heat, an axial fan can be installed on its wall to disperse the heat into the distribution box. If heat is generated due to poor terminal contact, please try to eliminate the fault as much as possible.

The upper limit of environmental temperature during the operation of electrical equipment shall not exceed 40 ℃. Due to direct sunlight, heat reflection from concrete floors, and heat generated by equipment inside the cabinet, the working distribution box is exposed to scorching sun in midsummer, with temperatures sometimes exceeding 60 ℃.

This high temperature can easily lead to insulation aging of wire coils and wires, and damage the burnt out electric contactors. Due to high temperature, the contact resistance will increase, and the contact resistance will increase due to heating. The vicious cycle will ultimately cause the contactor to burn out. At the same time, the temperature will also be too high. The stability of electrical protection performance, reliability of action, and accuracy of measurement are affected.

So, in order to prevent the distribution box from overheating, I would like to suggest that you:

1. The cabinet body should be made of natural stainless steel as much as possible, which is not easy to rust and has a thermal reflection effect. Frequent use of insulation coatings can reduce thermal radiation and achieve good results.

2. In addition to ensuring ventilation, the distribution box cabinet should also avoid direct sunlight during the day, and the ground should be free of sand.

3. In order to form air convection heat dissipation, the distribution box with incomplete separation in the middle forms air convection heat dissipation.

4. Avoid equipment overload during hot seasons and minimize the heat emitted by the equipment inside the box.

The distribution box has the advantages of small size, simple installation, special technical performance, fixed position, unique configuration function, no site restrictions, wide application, stable and reliable operation, high space utilization rate, small floor area, and good environmental protection effect. Pay attention to overheating at all times to ensure the normal operation of the equipment.
