Routine maintenance of frequency converters is crucial for ensuring stable equipment operation, preventing malfunctions, and extending their lifespan. Following a systematic maintenance process is essential. This article is mainly divided into daily inspections and periodic maintenance sections.

news-1-1

I. Daily Operation Inspection

1. Operating Status:
Display Panel: Check for fault alarm codes or warning messages. Record whether parameters such as operating frequency, current, voltage, and temperature are within the normal range.
Load Current: Observe whether the output current is stable and does not exceed the rated value. Check whether the three-phase current is basically balanced.
Motor Operation: Check whether the motor operation sound is smooth and whether there is any abnormal vibration or noise.

2. Environmental Inspection:
Ambient Temperature: Ensure good ventilation in the inverter installation location. The ambient temperature is generally between -10℃ and +40℃.
Cleanliness: Check whether there is obvious dust, fiber, or other blockages in the inverter's cooling ducts and fan grilles.
Humidity and Corrosion: Check whether the environment is too humid or contains corrosive gases, oil mist, or metallic dust.

3. Sensory Inspection:
Listen: Listen to whether the inverter cooling fan operation sound is normal and whether there are any abnormal friction or vibration sounds.
Smell: Check for any abnormal burnt odor.

Touch: (Never touch the internal components while the circuit is live!) You can lightly touch the inverter casing with your back to check for abnormally high temperatures, typically not exceeding 50-60℃.

II. Regular Shutdown Maintenance Always perform maintenance only after power is off and safety is confirmed.

1. Thorough Cleaning
Internal Dust: Use a vacuum cleaner or soft-bristled brush (anti-static type) to carefully remove accumulated dust from the circuit boards, radiator, and air ducts. Never use compressed air to blow dust directly, as this may push dust deeper or damage components.

Cooling Fan: Clean the fan blades and ventilation grille. Check that the fan rotates smoothly without any jamming or abnormal noise.

2. Tightening Check:
Main Circuit Terminals: Check the power input and motor output terminals for looseness or overheating marks, and tighten to the specified torque.

Control Terminals: Check that all control wire connections are secure.

Grounding Wire: Ensure the grounding terminal is secure, and the grounding resistance is ≤10Ω.

3. Key Component Inspection:
Electrolytic Capacitors: Check for bulging, leakage, bulging safety valves, or cracked casings in the DC bus filter capacitors.
Relays/Contactors: If built-in, check for burnt contacts.
PCB Board: Visually inspect for visibly burned components, discoloration, cracked solder joints, or corrosion.
