Whether it is household electricity or industrial electricity, circuit breaker tripping failure is one of the common electrical faults. In summary, the reasons for circuit breaker tripping failure may be roughly the following three situations: overload, short circuit and wiring error. Below, the fault phenomenon, fault cause and countermeasures of the above three situations are analyzed in detail so that everyone can fully understand the causes and treatment methods of circuit breaker tripping failure.
1. Overload. The reason for the circuit breaker overload tripping is excessive current. When the circuit breaker overload trips, the electrical equipment can usually be used normally for a period of time, and then the circuit breaker trips. If the operating current of the electrical equipment increases abnormally, such as excessive load, motor stalling, etc., the electrical equipment failure needs to be eliminated; if it is caused by the selection of too small a circuit breaker, a larger specification circuit breaker needs to be replaced.
2. Overcurrent. The reason for the circuit breaker overcurrent tripping is also excessive current, but the current is much larger than the overload failure. When the circuit breaker trips due to overcurrent, the circuit breaker usually trips when the electrical equipment is put into use. If the circuit breaker trips due to electrical equipment, it is necessary to rule out the short circuit of the electrical equipment; if the circuit breaker trips when there is no electrical equipment, it is necessary to check the short circuit of the line.
3. Wiring error. Wiring errors often occur in socket wiring. When the power is provided by the socket, the electrical equipment trips when it is put into use. In household electricity use, the neutral wire and the ground wire may be connected incorrectly. When the above situation occurs, just swap the position of the neutral wire and the ground wire on the socket.
